Whitewater Merit Badge
Few experiences compare to the accomplishment and fun of earning the Whitewater
Merit Badge. Ace Funyaks, Tennessee’s premiere kayaking school offers
a six-hour program which allows Boy Scouts to earn the badge while being introduced
to the incredible sport of whitewater kayaking and funyaking.
Ace Funyaks has introduced paddling to nearly 3,000 students during the past
seven years. We are a highly personalized company owned and staffed by professional
kayakers who are extremely gifted instructors. We have an impeccable safety
record and have built our reputation on providing personalized instruction in
an exciting environment. Ace is permitted and regulated by the U.S.D.A. Forest
Service and the Tennessee Valley Authority. All trips are staffed with a 3:1
student to instructor ratio. Our style of instruction builds upon American Canoe
Association guidelines. Ace Funyaks owner Jeff West, who himself was introduced
to kayaking as a Boy Scout, leads all river trips.
Boy Scouts agree, “The Whitewater Merit Badge program with Ace Funyaks
was the most fun outing of the year!” To find out more please go to http://www.acefunyaks.com/boyscouts.html.
For reservations or more information please call toll free 1-888-FUN-YAKS (1-888-386-9257).
Thank you and we look forward to paddling with you.
Sincerely,
Jeff West
